I have been using VS 2008 for the last few years on Windows XP.
Now I am about to buy a new laptop and would like to go with Windows 7.
However, it seems some people are having issues with VS 2008 on Windows 7.
Can anyone recommend a configuration which works well.
i.e. Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate (32 or 64 bit?)
or do I play it safe and get a processor which supports virtualization and use XP Mode?
Is it worth the hassle trying to get VS 2008 running on Windows 7 or better to wait awhile?
Would love to hear from anyone who had a painless install and no issues running VS2008 on W7.
